Our signature formula for our handmade decorative soaps is our Shea Butter(Butyrospermum Parkii) Base.   We pride ourselves on using ingredients which are good for your skin.

When looking at an ingredient label one might become overwhelmed with what the scientific names are.  The FDA (Federal Drug Administration) requires this type of naming on your ingredients labeling.

We start with a 100% vegetable oil base which is certifed kosher.  Adding to our formula is Sodium Cocoate which is from the coconut and is a surfactant used as an emulsifying and cleaning agent.

Sucrose, so sweet it is, normal every day table sugar which is an emollient, mild emulsifier, and humectant, which you would find in all types of body sugar scrubs.

Propylene Glycol is the most common moisture carrying cehicle in cosmetics formulations next to water.

Deionized Water with all the chlorine and toxic ions removed.

Acetamide MEA is a humectant with counter irritant properties for your skin.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine  is a surfactant (cleaner) from the coconut and is considered to be one of the more gentle surfactants used in skin care products today.

Sodium Laureth Sulfate is from coconut oil and a mild surfactant cleaner and is NOT to be confused with Sodium Laryl Sulfate.

BHT is an antioxidant which also has preservative capabilities too.

Sodium Metabisulfite is an antioxidant and reducing agent.

Now that we have introduced you to the scientific terms of the ingredients in our Shea Butter Formula soap you can be assured your skin will feel moisturized and soft after using our natural handmade soaps.  Your skin will never feel dryed out even while wet as you might find with other products.
